Oceanic tranquility and atmospheric lighting

Umi is an octopus-shaped wall sconce. It was designed with cozy children's rooms in mind. We used birch plywood and Italian parchment to completely cover the light source. The lamp casts a soft, warm glow on the wall, and tiny cutouts imitating air bubbles and tentacles subtly let the light shine through. During the day, it’s a cheerful, handcrafted decoration. In the evening, it provides exactly the right amount of light for nighttime feedings, reading bedtime stories, or chasing away fears of the dark.

Ocean-inspired colors

Umi is available in five colors (painted with safe water-based paints):

• Warm Grey – a soft, warm gray, perfect for light, pastel interiors.

• Teal Blue – a marine shade that combines blue and green.

• Navy Blue – a classic, deep navy blue that contrasts beautifully with the warm glow of a light bulb.

• Mosaic Blue – a vibrant, cheerful shade of blue.

• Marsala – a warm, wine-colored shade to balance out a cool, nautical palette.

Surprisingly durable (Easy to clean)

Our lamps are crafted in Poland from high-quality, durable 4-mm-thick Finnish plywood. We are committed to sustainability, which is why the wood we use is FSC- and PEFC-certified. Natural wood does not build up static electricity and attracts less dust than plastic. A dry cloth is all you need to keep it looking fresh.

  • Wall mounting: The lamp is designed to be mounted using two screws. The package includes a handy paper template that will help you drill the holes in the wall with precision. (Note: Due to the variety of wall types in our customers’ homes, screws and wall anchors are not included in the set—please select them according to your wall type).
